Do Pool Cleaners Get Over Lip That Kids Stand On?

I am putting in a fibreglass pool and it has a lip around it about a metre down for kids to get their footing on.
Do you know if the pool cleaners can go over these or will i have to manually clean above that line?
Any other advice on buying a pool cleaner, am thinking of going for a Kreepy Krauly.

Which would be better? I know starting my own is cheaper, but seems harder since you have to get clients. But are existing routes a scam? I found an existing route in my town on www.poolroutepros.com

How To Clean A Very Dirty Pool?

It is a really large spa. The water going green and there are leaves, bugs, and stones in it. I had a professional pool guy come look at it and he said to pump out the water, but I don’t get why i cant just use a net to get out the leaves and bugs, and then drain it. Will it clog the drain if the water is so dirty or something?
Also, i need to know how to clean the pool itself (i.e. the plaster and algae etc)
